Last Saturday’s Servathon was a huge success.
The Philippine Daily Inquirer (one of the groups involved) wrote:
More than a thousand volunteers from some 39 corporations became heroes for a day, helping people in the marginalized and impoverished sectors of Metro Manila.
They gathered on Saturday for the 9th Hands On Manila Servathon held at the SMX in Pasay City, to help 11,800 students and 120 teachers in four public schools; 400 children in five shelters; 80 patients and 85,000 residents of 29 barangays.
Servathon is an annual community program of Hands On Manila (HOM) foundation.
Volunteerism is alive. This is how we build our nation, one brick at a time.
