Kano by Filipina Filmaker Coreen Jimenez accepted into prestigious International Documentary Film Festival Amsteram

Kano

Kano— for the uninitiated is Filipino slang for American. Kano is a feature documentary about an American Vietnam War hero. He spends his post-war years in the Philippines. Hundreds of women have come and gone from his house, which is in a poor village and in 2001, Kano— Pearson was charged with 80 counts of rape. The story is a look at a fascinating and awful story of Pearson and his women and how they formed a most dysfunctional family.

Filipina filmmaker Coreen Jimenez’s feature documentary was recently accepted into the prestigious 23rd International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam. This will take place from November 17 to 28, 2010.

Huge Congratulations!
