Where Can the Victims of Atrocities Find Justice?

An Invitation to a Forum

In 2010, The Women of the Ateneo (or T.W.A.) was honored to host a landmark lecture on “The Legacy of International Criminal Courts”, by one of our founding members Ms. Mayee Bringas-Warren (of AdMU College Class of 1977). Ms. Warren is presently the Chef de Cabinet, Office of the Prosecutor, International Criminal Court (The Hague), and is very much involved in such human rights issues such as classifying crimes against women as crimes against humanity.

This year, The Women of the Ateneo is again privileged to host a second forum on international justice.

We are therefore pleased to invite you to a Forum led by the U.S. Ambassador-at-Large for War Crimes Issues, The Honorable Stephen J. Rapp

“Where Can the Victims of Atrocities Find Justice?”

on Tuesday, May 10, 2011, from 2:00 P.M. to 4:30 P.M. Registration begins at 1.30 P.M. at The Hexagon Lounge, Fourth Floor, RCBC Plaza, Ayala Avenue corner Senator Gil Puyat Avenue, Makati City, Metro Manila

Ambassador Stephen J. Rapp will speak about “international justice and the need for accountability to establish lasting peace and to vindicate the rights and experiences of victims.”

To confirm your attendance, please call the Ateneo Alumni Relations Office at  tel. no. 426-6081 and look for Ms. Ida or Ms. Juliet , or send e-mail to [email protected]. Seats are limited, so we suggest that you make reservations early.
