WHO: Road accidents impact the economy

THE World Health Organization is calling on governments to institute better traffic management, the number of people killed or injured on roads continues to climb, particularly in developing countries.
“Many countries see traffic accidents as an inevitable part of everyday life, but they’re not,” said WHO-Western Pacific Regional Director Dr. Shin Young-soo.

Shin said both the legislative and executive departments must do their part in preventing road accidents.
