DEFENSE Secretary Voltaire Gazmin and Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV yesterday said former President Ferdinand Marcos deserves to be given military honors and to be buried at the Libingan ng mga Bayani under military regulations.
He said AFP regulation No. 161-375 dated Sept. 11 2000 lists those who are qualified to be interred in the Libingan in Fort Bonifacio, including former presidents and military officers, and Medal of Valor awardees.
Marcos is a recipient of the Medal of Valor, highest military decoration for bravery and gallantry in combat, for a feat in Bataan during World War II.
