DEPED: no classes for elementary, high school in Metro Manila

The Department of Education announced that classes for pre-schoolers, elementary and high school students in Metro Manila are suspended today.  This is on account of heavy rain and flooding pouring down the metropolis.

The Philippine Daily Inquirer quotes Assistant Secretary Tonisito Umali, “We’ve coordinated with Pagasa and we were advised the heavy rains could continue today so even if there’s no storm signal yet, the weather might cause flood and pose danger to our students.”
