Egay targets Northern Luzon

Tropical Depression Egay (Tropical Storm Six) is headed for Northern Luzon.  The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration reported that the Western Seaboard of Luzon, and Visayas, and Eastern Seaboard of Southern Luzon will experience cloudy skies with scattered to widespread rains.  The weather bureau predicts rough to very rough sea condition with wave height between 3.7 meters to 4.5 meters.  Boats are advised not to venture to sea.

PAGASA raised public storm signal 1 over the following provinces: Polillo Island, Aurora, Quezon Province, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Isabela, Cagayan, Calayan, Babuyan group of Islands, Ifugao, Mt. Province, Kalinga, Abra, Apayao, and Ilocos Norte. These areas are expected to experience 45 to 60 kilometer per hour winds and residents are advised against possible flash floods.
