The total make-over of Pacman

Manuel Buencamino

Buencamino was a weekly columnist for Today and Business Mirror. He has also written articles in other publications like Malaya, Newsbreak, "Yellow Pad" in Business World, and "Talk of the Town" in the Inquirer. He is currently with Interaksyon, the news site of TV5. MB blogged for Filipino Voices, blogs for ProPinoy and maintains a blog, Uniffors.com. Game-changers for him, as far as music goes, are Monk, Miles, Jimi, and Santana.

  • From other article:

    “They just want
to know why from paying enough taxes to build dozens of schoolhouses he is
reduced to paying an amount that won’t even cover Rep. Toby Tiangco’s monthly
    bill for hair gel. ”

    Cracked me up, man.
    I like original art.

Anything that prevents him from accepting
responsibility. THIS is an official government legislator? A guy whispered here
and there as in line for the presidency? This is the guy who will lead the
    Philippines to world-class?

    I’d take Coach Roach
over him any day. At least that guy knows strategy and tactics and calls it
    straight.

Based on the last couple of fights, Pacquiao is past his prime. No killer instinct left. Always skipping
away from any serious exchange. Very different than his dynamic days when he
would pulverize people, just dominate them. Now he mainly dances, making sure
he is healthy for the next meaningless money-making bout.  You are right. He has become boring.

    Sponge Bob is
better. And I think he is in the halls of Congress more often than the gambling, boxing,
    cock-fighting, excuse-making idol.
