Mar Roxas to Tacloban Mayor Romualdez to write a letter on Yolanda assistnace

Romualdez asked to write letter so no one would misconstrue assistance to be provided

●      Former Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas asked Tacloban City Mayor Alfred Romualdez to write a letter signifying that the city government will let the national government to take over the relief and response in the aftermath of super-typhoon “Yolanda’s” devastation in Leyte.

The letter was meant to make sure that no one would misconstrue the assistance, given the politics and personalities involved.

Although even if the letter was not signed, Roxas said all the assistance that Tacloban City needed was deployed and distributed, including the 531,000 food packs of the 2.8 million food packs distributed in Eastern Visayas.
